New resources available to help with efforts to vaccinate homebound people

Dear Colleagues,

The following resources have been brought to our attention and may help with your efforts to vaccinate the homebound populations.

  1. The United States Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has a new web page with guidance for vaccinating the homebound: https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/clinical-considerations/homebound-persons.html
  2. The CDC also has updated information about vaccine storage and handling which at least mentions/refers to the issue of home health use: https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/hcp/admin/storage/toolkit/storage-handling-toolkit.pdf
  3. United States Pharmacopeia has some new guidance about handling of prefilled syringes that is relevant for home care providers: https://www.usp.org/covid-19/vaccine-handling-toolkit

We wish you share with your colleagues as we continue to fight the ongoing pandemic.

Warmly,

The National Home-Based Primary Care Learning Network
